The Mare

Emmy is a compact and powerful daughter of Again and Again. She has quite a personality but remains respectful and obedient around people. She is the first one at the gate and appears larger than her 15.2 hands.

Her gaits are typical for her lineage: she has a large, ground covering trot with plenty of freedom in the shoulder. The canter is buoyant. Her walk has a clear four beat rhythm and a minimum of 3 hooves overstep. Over fences Emmy jumps with excellent bascule and scope. Like her sire’s full brother Ruxton, her stride eats up a distance and her use of her knees is exceptional.

Emmy’s full brother, Alacazam, was actively competing at the FEI level as a seven year old with Anne and Emily. In 1994 he won a Team Silver Medal at the NAYRC. Later in life Alacazam competed through Grand Prix – a very unusual accomplishment for a US bred horse.

Emmy campaigned up the levels in dressage through PSG until an untimely pasture accident ended her career in her mid-teens. She then joined our broodmare band, producing several outstanding foals for us. She has been awarded a First Premium.

Her daughter Wakanda WF (2005) by Waldaire was Site Champion at her foal inspection and the recipient of a First Premium Award. Full brother Wizard WF (2006) was also Site Champion at his inspection with a Premier Award. In 2008 Wizard was presented to the AWR as a Stallion Candidate and granted his temporary Stallion License. Whodini WF (2007) joined his full siblings and also earned a First Premium at his foal inspection. In 2008, Emmy delivered her first Dressage Royal offspring with the chestnut superstar Dreamcatcher WF. He followed family tradition and was Site Champion and a Premier Award winner at his foal inspection. 2009 saw the birth of another Dressage Royal colt in Drummond WF. He arrived with a bright bay coat and has earned another Premier Award for the family honor.

Emmy’s genetics should continue onward in our program with Wizard WF joining the stallion lineup in 2010. Dreamcatcher WF and Drummond WF are also being raised as future FEI stars at this time. Wakanda WF is currently being groomed as a competition horse but might join the broodmare band in the future.
