The Horse
Ahhh, it was the height of the 80's when this black colt was born! Miami Vice was a hit TV show and as we had 2 bouncing colts to give barn names - this little bundle of energy was nicknamed 'Tubbs' or 'Tubby.' As he matured Tubby proved to be one of our finest and most successful competition horses. He was very similar in movement to his sire Again and Again - all the gifts for the hardest of the FEI work just at the rider's fingertips, a light mouth, super jumping technique and a charming personality!
Alacazam was actively competing at the international FEI level as a seven year old with Anne and Emily. In 1994 he won a Team Silver Medal at the NAYRC. Later in life Alacazam competed through Grand Prix – a very unusual accomplishment for a US bred horse. As his sire was a domestically bred, raised and trained and licensed breeding stallion - we have grown accustomed to such success over the years.
